I was surfing websites & of course went to Elle Magazine’s site. I came across this post and I’ll copy and paste it below.

RED-EYELINER

“RED EYELINER
Red and green are opposite each other on the color wheel, making them complementary colors. So if you want to accentuate greenish-blue, green, or hazel eyes, technically red eyeliner or shadow is your best bet. While in real-life, most would substitute a subtler pink for red, this wasn’t the case on the runway at Altuzarra—where models’ lower lash lines were boldly smudged with scarlet liner. To adapt this trend for everyday, do as Rihanna did, and opt for a cleaner, more powdery-soft line.”

REMIND YOU OF ANYTHING?? (Of course we upped the amp for a photo shoot going for a very editorial monochromatic look) LOOK OUT FOR THE FINAL PICTURES!!!!

Here are some more pictures from the NYU Fashion Show I worked on last weekend. The photographer, Orville ‘Coche’ Wright II, was great & captured all the moments backstage. Check out his website here.

& check out the photos below. He took TONS but I just included ones that I did the makeup for.

Hold on!! Here is the amazing Zewiditu Ruffin (@nynelynes & www.nynelyves.com) in TIME OUT magazine. Check out her spread here… she’s in the top 25 best dressed person in the city !! Congrats Zewidi.

If you guys remember the post I did a few weeks ago about doing her makeup while I was in NYC –> check HEREZewidi and I had so much fun working together – as always – and I’m looking forward to working with her again. I’m heading to NYC the 18th of February to do some makeup for the NYU Fashion show – pictures to come of course :)

I came across a great article about the makeup on the runway of Marc Jacob’s 2010 Spring Line. Renowned makeup artist Francois Nars was the lead makeup artist for the show & used theatrical ballerina’s as inspiration for the makeup of the show. The faces centered around powdery faces, pointed lips & eyes that went out instead of up.

Take a look at the makeup from the show below!

Enjoy!

From her day to day look, I’m not THAT impressed with Amber Rose’s clothing & makeup. (I do like how she has her signature pink lips though) – but when she’s styled she looks great!!

Check out the different pictures of Amber Rose below – she just got signed as the new face of  Boadicea The Victorious and the new fragrance by Michael Boadi & did a shoot with photographer Cameron Krone.

She’s been working hard – and looks amazing in these photos. The makeup looks great!! And I love the extreme lashes she rocked at the fragrance launch event in London. Clap, Clap, Bravo!

I love the contrast of bright makeup against brown skin & here’s 4 perfect examples...

Rihanna in September Italia Vogue

Rihanna is on point…she got her model all the way on

up

around

& back again.

I’m gonna “pick up” a copy of Italia Vogue if they have it at Student Stores.

I didn’t wanna throw up all the pics cause they’re floating around everywhere, but I had to put this up.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham arriving in London on July 21.

Although Victoria is not really known for her makeup (she always looks flawless but no focus on her makeup, more so fashion) I think she deserves a post. She always looks put together, she’s gorgeous, & she does the no makeup look so well.

Kim Kardashian for YRB Magazine

Recently Kim Kardashian did a photo shoot for YRB Magazine.

This look is so different for her, from the pale skin to extreme eye makeup & black lips. Troy Jensen did her makeup for this…make sure you check out the post I did about him before – amazing makeup artist.

Keeping with the Vogue trend, here’s a look at Rihanna’s upcoming cover for Vogue Italia.

At a time when magazines are on a downward spiral to extinction, Vogue is really stepping there game up. I picked up the September issue of Vogue, like I said, and also the British Vogue as well. Both are great.

Rihanna’s makeup looks great as usual. If you haven’t noticed I’m a huge fan of that dramatic cat eye. You can switch it up with different colors. I stick to pretty deep colors to pump up the drama.

I love using eyeshadows with super subtle shimmer for this look – NOT glitter though.

Cassie’s makeup for her DIMEPIECE photo shoot makes her look so different (still gorgeous as usual). These pictures have been floating around today on Twitter…

Take a look at her makeup.

It’s bad – in a good way.

www.dimepiecedesigns.com – check out the website… the intro is something SERIOUS!

Can this girl do wrong? Not only does she not really NEED makeup (she’s gorgeous without it) but she also wears it so well!!

Take a look at the pictures below of Chanel on the runway and in various photoshoots. She rocks bold lips, neutral lips, crazy eye makeup & the natural makeup look so well.

rihannaSo…this is one of those random posts, simply because Rihanna is hot.

She mixed leather & florals in one dress when she was out on August 11 in NYC – Bossip called it odd – umm NEVER - I love the mixture & I love her – always have, always will. & I love Chris Brown so whatever.

I remember the first time I met Rihanna was in Maine when her first album “A Girl Like Me” was coming out. She looked out of it, but she was really nice and told me I was pretty…I almost died…See, I have proof!!

Tanzy and I did a style evolution on her for OK!Magazine. You can check it out there.
