Hey guys! I have a great update!! Remember when I posted about AJ Crimson several months ago? If you need a refresher click here. AJ reached out to me because I featured him on my website & invited me to his new series of makeup workshops called “Affordable Beauty”. I was so excited to receive this personal email from him. He offered me 2 free tickets to attend the workshop! I’m obviously going to attend the one in NYC. Check out some info and different dates and times of the workshop below.

Hey guys! I know it’s been super long & I’ll try to make this short

I’ve graduated from THE University of North Carolina along with some of my closest friends!!! We all had a great huge family dinner together & enjoyed ourselves. I drove from NC to DC (with my mom driving a rental van packed up with my stuff) & stopped at Kelcie’s house for dinner with her family, which was super yummy. Then me and my mom left the next morning and continued to NYC where we had to unpacked & worked like crazy for a few days. Now (Sunday) I’m back in Maine until Thursday and just taking care of a few things – nephew’s birthday, renewing my license, visiting friends & a dentist appointment.



When I get back to NYC I start my new job on Monday & will be working to get my makeup portfolio together & make a weekend job out of it! Wish me luck!

1. I will be posting photos of my work ASAP. I lost my camera this summer so it’s making it difficult but I have a photoshoot set up for when I return to NC and will get some headshots of my work so look out for those.

2. I’ll be having a photoshoot with Kelcie too!!

3. I will also be posting “HOW TO GET THE LOOK” articles including a step to step breakdown of what products were used and how to use them to get a look – suggested to me by Whitney!

4. There will be quizzes on this blog so I can get people’s feedback and such.

5. I will be interviewing a few makeup artists and other people who I think would be of interest to the blog.

6. There will be music as soon as I figure it out haha

Question: Why is your blog named

“C-THRU MY EYES”??

Answer: Cause it’s what I want!! …nooo really, C-Thru is my all time favorite lipgloss hands down. You can take a look at MAC’s website –> C-Thru Tinted Lip Glass $14.

It only seems appropriate to name the blog after my favorite makeup item…so enjoy this blog and “C-THRU MY EYES” – it’s a strange lense so it might take a little time for your eyes to adjust, but I promise they will!

An introduction to myself seems appropriate at this point so here goes…

I go to The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill & when people ask me what I want to do…I always pause….That’s a tough impossible question for me to answer at the moment…I often spit out things like Event Planning, Publicist…something along those lines, but my true passion is MAKEUP.

I would love to be a makeup artist & I’m always experimenting, researching & having fun with makeup. Of course, I’m a college student so I’m restricted by (1) location – North Carolina is not the most fashion or style forward state -  & my budget is tight – I’m not made of money people -  BUT, I will work with what I have & do what I love regardless of the obstacles! So join my ride.

BTW…This blog won’t only be about makeup, but about life in general, food – my one true love – & other randomness! ENJOY!
