However… I like to think nothing is ever off limits – it just depends on your execution.









Recently there has been the use of white eyeshadow (such as the picture above of a Donna Karan model during one of her shows)… This look is crsip & clean & I tried it on Jessica Couch in our last shoot, but only had a white liner to do it. I wouldn’t recommend using a liner because it creases – & creasing with white are VERY obvious. Instead, try a white shadow – I haven’t tried any yet, but I’m sure if you use a nice primer from Smashbox or MAKE UP FOR EVER on your lid, followed by white eyeshadow by MAC with an angled brush you could get this look. Keep your face clean & bronze + a few coats of jet black mascara to get wispy strong lashes. This would be perfect & I’m going to try it soon!

This is CRAZY to me… According to Allure’s website, Lauren Luke is the new “it” girl in makeup. She started doing makeup tutorials on YouTube and has 52 million views!!! That’s insane! Forget starting a rap career on youtube, maybe I’ll start making some tutorial videos soon…

I’ve been saying that dark lips are in this season, well here’s some more proof below:

I promise it’s not as scary as it initially seems – dark lips are easy if you take your time & pick the right shade. As you can see lighter skin tones can rock a deep shade just the same as deeper skin tones can – it’s all about a shade that compliments your skin tone – don’t be afraid to try any shade because it could really work on you.

This is a great look for the fall & is super sexy if you pair it with full lashes & just a little black liner on the top lid!!

One makeup trend this far is gray eyeshadow. It’s more subtle than black & can be used for a smokey eye effect. I have MAC Eyeshadow in Knight Divine & love to layer it from sheer to intense gray depending on the look I’m going for.

Play around with different shades. The best gray shades have hints of purple & are matte. Grays with shine tend to look shiny & costume-y.
